Juan Ambrosio
Juan Ambrosio is a psychologist by profession, with extensive experience in applied research and project management in the health sector. He has worked as a researcher and technology manager on health-related topics, as well as in the analysis of science, technology, and innovation policies. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Science and Technology Policy and Management at the University of Buenos Aires.
His professional trajectory is characterized by a critical and reflective perspective on the role of science and technology in development. He considers these tools to be fundamental for economic progress, but believes they must be approached from an ecosystemic perspective with an explicit orientation toward closing gaps and reducing social inequalities. Therefore, his professional practice is articulated around social justice and the creation of conditions that improve people's quality of life, particularly in the health and education sectors.
Juan has a particular interest in institutional evaluation and learning processes, capacity building, the creation of reflection-action spaces for building desired futures, and public policy analysis. He conceives evaluation not only as an accountability mechanism, but also as an opportunity to improve and learn. Likewise, he understands policy, science, and technology as human actions, which implies recognizing their biases, interests, and limitations in order to address them more consciously and effectively.
